Founder of All India Jamiatul Quresh Action Committee Mohtaram Marhoom Alhaj Mohd. Ibraheem Qureshi Sahab (1935 - 2005)

Alhaj Mohammed Ibraheem Qureshi is the founder of All India Jamiatul Quresh Action Committe. He was popularly known as "Munna Bhaiyya" and "Munna Ibadullah". He was born in 1935 and passed away in the year 2005 leaving behind 7 sons and 1 daughter. After the migration from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh and Jabalpur to Hyderabad, he engaged himself for the welfare of Quresh Community. He was also one of the founder member of Jamiatul Quresh Andhra Pradesh and actively performed several social activities and with his great zeal of enthusiasm a Jamat Khana had been set up in association with his friends and an established office to work for the welfare of Quresh Community.
In 1963 he was married to Mohtarama Sayeeda Banu who was the daughter of Mohd. Abdul Kareem Qureshi, the brother of Mohd. Ibraheem Qureshi, a famous army contractor and one of the richest of Hyderabad Deccan. In 1979 while going to Ibrahimpatnam along with his friend from Hyderabad on his BSA motor cycle, he met with an accident on the highway with RTC Bus, caused several bone fractures and serious injuries all over his body and was admitted in hospital for more than six month. His friend Janab Mohd. Saber Qureshi was succumbed to injuries on the spot.
After the partial recoveries from the injuries and permanent pains in legs he started supply of mutton from Hyderabad to Mumbai for the purpose of export outside India. He was an authorized supplier for ALLANA PVT. LTD. and ALKABEER PVT. LTD. On representation to Janab Irfan Allana, he offered permits to every individual in Andhra Pradesh for business, as a result of which hundreds and thousands of people got benefited in their livelihood. His hard work, strong will and determination gave an inspiration to all others and youth to step into their potentials. He always fought against evil practices and never compromised with corrupt people. In 1986, he met with another accident on the high way and he was again treated for his serious injuries. He was very brave and bold and never compromised with difficult situations of life and handled tough times in the interest of Quresh Community. In 1986, he proposed his third son Mr. Mohd. Abdul Faheem Qureshi, for a membership in Jamiatul Quresh. Faheem Qureshi became the member of Jamiatul Quresh Andhra Pradesh. He was a student of Nizam College, doing B.A. with Military Science took over the responsibility of his father and under his supervision and in association with his brothers 1. Mohd.Abdul Raheem Qureshi 2. Mohd. Abdul Nayeem Qureshi 3. Mohd. Abdul Aleem Qureshi 4. Mohd. Abdul Saleem Qureshi 5. Mohd. Abdul Azeem Qureshi and 6. Mohd. Abdul Kaleem Qureshi organized hundreds of events for the welfare of Quresh Community. Mohtaram Ibraheem Qureshi Sahab was always found advising everyone to educate their children and family members to acquire the best knowledge of Deen and Duniya, he supervised the studies of his third son Faheem Qureshi who completed his graduation in Military Science from Nizam College (The prestigious college of Hyderabad) and a Bachelors Degree in law from Law College, Osmania University and enrolled as an advocate in 1992 at the Bar Council of State of Andhra Pradesh.
In 2003, the office bearers of Jamiatul Quresh Andhra Pradesh filed an affidavit before the Hon?ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh in which they gave consent to shift the slaughter houses from the twin cities to Chengicherla village outside the limits of Hyderabad. On 31st December 2003, the slaughter houses were sealed by the government on execution of the orders of High Court. Due to which thousands of Qureshi?s forced to leave their profession and there was no responsible member to help displaced Qureshis. Mohtaram Mohd. Ibraheem Qureshi felt it necessary a revolutionary change and started a program ? Raise Your Voice Campaign? and on 31st of December 2003 launched an organization under the name and style ALL INDIA JAMIATUL QURESH ACTION COMMITTEE. Mohd. Abdul Faheem Qureshi Advocate was made President of the Organization, he declared hunger strike, staged Dharna?s, lead rallies, protested against the Government of Andhra Pradesh, demanded to modernize the existing slaughter houses. The support of Salar e Millat Mohtaram Sultan Salah Uddin Owaisi a Senior Member of Parliament and President of ALL INDIA MAJLIS ITTEHAD UL MUSLIMEEN and his team lead by Barrister Asaduddin Owaisi MLA, Janab Akber Uddin Owaisi MLA, Janab Ahmed Pasha Quadri MLA, Janab Moazzam Khan MLA, Janab Mumtaz Ahmed Khan MLA, Janab Afsar Khan Sahab MLA, all the corporators and the Chairman Standing Council, Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad extended their full co operation and compelled the Government of Andhra Pradesh to accept the demands of Action Committee to modernize the slaughter houses of twin cities. The Government set up four modern slaughter houses in Hyderabad in addition to Chengicherla Modern abattoir pending one more to modernize.
The Hyderabad became the first in India to have more number of Modern Slaughter Houses only on representations and struggles made by All India Jamiatul Quresh Action Committee under the leadership of Advocate Faheem Qureshi and under the guidance of his father Alhaj Ibraheem Qureshi Saab and with the help of All India Majlis Ittehad ul Muslimeen. Action Committee under the leadership of Faheem Qureshi Advocate thanked and felicitated the President of AIMIM Mohtaram Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi and his entire political team lead by Asad Uddin Owaisi and Akber Uddin Owaisi by organizing a huge rally consisting of more than 20,000 members of action committee from Ramnastpura Slaughter House to Darus Salam the Head Quarter of AIMIM and presented a vote of thanks by a special Air Show showering rose petals from the aircraft on Darus Salam Head quarter and felicitated the leaders of AIMIM.
The founder of All INDIA JAMIATUL QURESH ACTION COMMITTEE Mohtaram Alhaj Mohd. Ibraheem Qureshi Sahab had a sudden death due to a heart attack on thursday17th November 2005 (14th Shawwal ul Mukarram 1426 Hijri), ( Inna Lillahi Va Inna Ilahi Rajeon) and his aims and objectives for the welfare of Jamiatul Quresh is being carried over by his seven sons, Grandsons, Grand Daughters and all supporters under the great leadership of Alhaj Mohd Abdul Faheem Qureshi Advocate. INSHA ALLAH All India Jamiatul Quresh Action Committee will appreciate support from the dedicated members to extend its organizational work in the remaining parts of India.
